So why would Fantasy Flight issue the cards so many obvious errors? Why did I just spend $14.95+tax?
Misprinted Update Cards
The Guy that Signed off on the proofs was lazy is my guess.

Most likely freelances for Forge World, Dream Pod 9 and Legacy Miniatures/Cmon as well. I've had my pack on "pre-order" since it was first announced so the novelty of actually receiving them now has well and truely worn off. Hope the Warfare book has had better attention....
IMO, there might be a disconnect between Dust Studios (which creates Dust Tactics, Warfare, etc..) and the actual PUBLISHER, which is FFG.
This is really no fault of either side, it's just the gap that sometimes happens in a business venture. FFG is merely the PRODUCER of Dust Tactics, while Dust Studios is the actual DIRECTOR, at least to use a movie analogy.
What it boils down to is that FFG (the printer & distributor) only prints what Dust Studios (the creator and play tester) tells them to print (i.e., "revised" unit cards with misprint, erroneous or missing info on them). More often than not, when an actual player of the game has questions regarding misprints or rules clarifications, we're left to the devices of FFG, not Dust Studios. Then since no one at FFG actually wrote any of the Dust Tactics rules, the answers can be kind of sketchy, even though FFG does the best they can despite being the publisher of A LOT of game systems.
Don't get me wrong, I love this game & hope it goes on into perpetuity. But all I want -- as a faithful consumer w/ 15+ years of gaming experience under my belt -- is for this game to survive. Because it is a really cool effin' game. But IMO, a better rapport has to be established between producer & director if this fabulous and incredibly entertaining product isn't going to go the way of so many others before it.
Am I off base or totally out of line here? Does any one else feel the same way?
This game better survive. It's got all the makings of an awesome legacy.

Agreed I'm hopelessly addicted to this game and I check this forum for updates WAY too much.
I also am a regular troller of these forums, and that just helps to illustrate my point.
A game needs players, just as much as players need someone to create & produce the game they want to play.
If a great game such as DT needs revisions to anything during its inception (right now), there is no one better to provide those revisions (or at least suggest them) as the people ACTUALLY PLAYING the game. Don't just make up y'r own rules -- flesh out the rules of the game & provide a reason why the rule should be that way.
I have a feeling that FFG is watching, and if the argument is convincing enough, it may actually become part of the rulebook someday...
I check way too often too. I come check the forums and post on practically all new posts.
FFG says that there is an official submission process somewhere and that the forums ate not official.
