Hey Team!

The Warhammer: Invasion league kicks off next Tuesday night! It will run each Tuesday night, each player will drop their worst weeks result, and each night will have its own set of prizes, as well as overall League prizes. All entries in the league will receive a chance to win the lucky door prize, a copy of the Fantasy Flight board game "Chaos in the Old World".

Details as follows:

Where: Good Games Burwood
Level 1, 195a Burwood Rd
Burwood
When: Each Tuesday night from March 6th, running for 6 weeks
Format: Constructed (see the FFG website for errata and restricted lists)
Entry: $7 per night
Prizes: Store credit each night to top 3, plus a nightly lucky door prize. Overall league winners will also receive store credit, plus the above mentioned lucky door prize of Chaos in the Old World!

The league will run as a series of stand alone nightly one on one tournaments. Players will score 1 league point for each match they win, 1 point extra if they win the nightly event, 1 point each week they bring a deck using a different faction, and 1 point if they bring a new player to the league

The table will updated weekly in this thread.

GG's have also offered a 10% discount on any Warhammer: Invasion stock purchased on League nights.

Hey Team!

Last Tuesday evening saw 9 players turn up for some Warhammer: Invasion burn the cities craziness, and the guru of the game, Michael G, went 3 and a draw to take the night. He even played a new city board AND bought a new player, so cleaned up on the points enough to catapault him to the top of the table!

I'd also like to point out Paul didn't win a game until a final round bye...not that there is anything wrong with that!

Last night Louis kept his city under control, and burnt his opponents cities down to the ground, to go 3 and a draw to win the bonus night high point. Michael G and his empire guys finished seconds, with Nathan Canty Fried Chicken using Michaels Dark Elves, finished a commendable 3rd. Nathan wood took out the lucky door prize!

Last night was the 4th week of the inaugural GGs Burwood Warhammer: Invasion league, and this time it was Michael the Merciless burning more than cities down than most with his High Elves to take the night. Josh and his dodgy Orcs smoldered into second (on his first ever night no less!) with Dominic and his trusty Chaos Marauders finishing 3rd. All had a fun night, and the good news its on again next Tuesday night from 6.30pm!
