Just trying to gauge the opinions of some of the people here. May potentially be playing some Rogue Trader, and both I and the GM have agreed that we prefer to Black Crusade ruleset over the current rules in Rogue Trader.

However, while I'd heard theres some rules to help with putting Black Crusade into other games, and vice versa, the recommendations and ideas were... far from helpful.

Anyone here got any ideas for how Rogue Trader with Black Crusade rules would work?

Yes, I run my RT game with some of the BC rules in place.

By far the easiest changes are the Unnatural Trait changes and the Semi/Full Auto and Swift/Lightning Attack changes. You can just do those straight up, with no extra fumbling around, have the x2 instead be +4, and take the published stats for creatures as appropriate.

Introducing the skill changes takes a bit more work, as you'll have to audit and edit the rank trees for each class to get it to add up. Unfortunately I haven't thought of a decent way to introduce the alignment and free choice system while staying somewhat close to RT. The closest I've come so far is to allow players to purchase skills in sequence if they want them from their trees at any point, and to be fairly lax if someone wants to buy a talent a rank early. I'm also easy to convince if you want an elite advance and come up with a plausible reason.

Using the weapon stats right out of BC is easy to do. Same with the Armour. For PA I've decided that poor quality has 1 sub, normal has 3, good has 5 and best has 7, and allow the players to pick the subsystems as appropriate.

Explorators and cybernetics goes back to the skill trees, so I didn't change that, but if you found a good method to open up the skill trees, I can see using the Implants from BC directly, but with the Imperium Names.

Most Psychic powers would have to be changed to the less dark versions.

I actually prefer the BC acquisition chart, but we had been using the RT one for months before BC came out, so I haven't swapped that yet.

Those are the big points that stick out in my mind. Hope this was helpful.
