It has become quite too easy, to get rid of high cost uniques, at least that is my current impression.
Search and Detain - the new game decider?
I think something like 'A House Divided' is WAY worse then S&D. It not only rids the char for a turn but fugs up your draw for next turn
AND IT DOESNT EVEN TAKE UP A DECK PLOT SLOT!

I agree depending on what you're against I guess.
Search and Detain can be used against any card without attachments and cannot be saved against. A House Divided can be canceled by events, triggered effect cancels, and can be saved against. It can also have an immunity against it(immune to events) where Search and Detain does not.
Search and Detain
Pros
Cannot be saved against, so it will wipe out all duplicates
Can be used defensively against all card types, including bad attachments
If you become the First Player you can return a card that costs 0 gold to play
If used against an opponent, you can return a very high cost card to their hand and is a means of choke
4 gold and 5 initiative plot
Cons
You might be the first player and won't hurt the opponent with it.
If you are the first player and you have nothing that costs 0 to play, you have to return something of value to your hand so it could(but unlikely) backfire. This would mean you didn't use it in the right situation where it won't hurt you.
Takes up a Plot Slot
The card chosen cannot have any attachments on it
A House Divided
Pros
Can have 3x in your deck
Can be played in response to playing your own character to return an opponents to the top of deck
Can be used to choke gold and to choke draw
Can be used against yourself to get rid of a bad attachment as a worst case scenario
Cons
You may never draw it during a game
Can be canceled by event and triggered effect cancels
Characters might be immune to events
Requires a character with that trait to already be in play
Can be saved against by duplicates
That's all I came up with for now.
Another Pro for the event is that you can use it as attachment control, returning an opponents character (maester) to the top of his deck and watch all the attachments circle the drain while laughing like the monopoly guy with a lit cigar in his mouth.
I forgot to mention that the event is House Lannister only. I don't know whether or not that is a Pro or Con. I guess that you can consider it a Con because it's not available to any other houses.
Plus, IMHO it is the only card that didn't put Lanni up there with Bara as the house that got the least in the last CP cycle. Seriously, I am looking at what Lanni got...and I know people forget since they got a lot in their box...but it is pretty thin overall.
i dont know about being OP or the new end all in who wins games (plenty of decks dont run this plot) but it's pretty far up there in the near autoinclude list with retaliation, loyalty money can buy, etc. i think valar is still going in more decks more often though...
