still thinking!! its a tough one

maybe a hint? :P

This is a bit of a long shot but is the answer Orrostar? (The easternmost province of Numenor) Either way= Orro (OR) , Jesus = Star.

Maybe the problem is that german is my mother tongue.

"either way" = or

That´s right, it was the goblin cleaver.

Hey brill, that was a tough one! Ok try this one- "Blow up a herb".

arrrgghhh my mind is empty (he says looking through a long list of herbs....)

Ok heres a clue. The herb begins with "D".

BOMBADIL!..........................man you would think i would have got that seeing as ive spent the last 2 days writing the next chapter of my series on him arghghghg haha

Yehhhhhhhh!!! Well done rich. Hey, that sounds good - a Tom Bombadil piece. If its personal no worries but it would be great to see your views on that part of LOTR. There are a few chapters that stand out as being "eyebrow raising" and thats one of them. I cant help thinking there is an alternative meaning to that little episodebut im buggered if ive worked it out yet!!

thanks and youre gonna love it (hopefully!) its all about the mysteries and loose ends of middle earth so you have

-bombadil- who and what was he and what is his purpose in the narrative (there is one certain quote from the return of the king im still figuring out its true meaning)

-radagast-what happened to him and did he technically fail in his istari task

-balrogs-wings or no

-and im still writing the last parts- either based on the blue wizards, how old was the mouth of sauron, what was sarumans ring and what was its powers or what happened to the entwives

admitedly theyve all been tackled before but im trying to put my own spin on it

ok the clue

ARE WE FINISHED? HINT!-- you need to add the ? to the answer for it to make sense

Its taken a bit of thought but...... " Dunhere". (Done here).???

You will laugh when you get it!! They weren't a great partnership, put it that way! Hey are we the only ones playing by the way??

gorbag and shagrat! ha! good one, though is the latter our word? i cant remember if americans use it, i know up north we seem to love it

and so far, it looks like we are, someone else must pipe in later when america comes on (im still trying to figure time differences on here)

edit: sorry muemakan, i posted this before i realised you had- and full respect for you taking part when its not your native language!

Yeh sorry muemakan, you said your native language is german didnt you? Mind you, "up north" is a lot different from "down south" in this country! Yep correct rich.
