My girlfriend and I are looking for a gaming group in the NoVA / DC area. We live in Alexandria, VA. I'm also looking for a good shop to purchase games from. A google search has not been fruitful in this regard. I've only been able to locate one in the Falls Church area and I'm not seeing a lot in their online inventory that interests me.

Welcome to the neighborhood! I'm in South Riding (just South of Dulles Airport). If you don't mind a bit of a trip West, you can visit Game Parlor on route 50 at Sully Plaza. It's a huge store (which over the years took over the adjoining properties) with product in the front and game tables in the back.

Thanks for telling me about that place! Ironically, I lived in Fair Oaks for about 5 years prior to moving to Alexandria. I WISH I had known about this place then.
You should also check out Labyrinth Games & Puzzles in DC - they have regular gaming nights, a great selection, and the staff is pretty friendly. They're near Eastern Market.
