I'd like to make an 8-12 years old little girl ether thief or assassin in an Anima game.
I've read a special rule about how the game expect us to have someone aged from adult to middle-age so i'm just wondering if one ever though of making someone younger and what would be the restriction.
(would there be some minus to strengh checks or something, would they be temp. or could they be counter with inhumanity... )
i'd like to know what you all think so i can come up with something when presenting the idea to my GM
Thanks
Is there some restrictions when creating a child pc
there is a disadvantage called 'rookie' or something like that that makes you start off the game as a 'level 0' character. the core book has rules for level 0 characters, but i believe the disadvantage is only in the game master's toolkit. if i'm not mistaken you make a character like normal but don't take a class yet and only apply 300 starting dp until your GM feels they are ready for their first level, then its business like usual from then on.
It sets you back 100xp. So you start at level 0 with -100xp. When you earn 100xp you're level 1.
A Level0 Character has no class innate bonus (since they are +X each level and 0 multiplied by any number gives 0).
Also, as a Master I'd probably impose a max for Str and Con to 5 or even 4 (depending on age), and allow lower stats like 1-3, although I would allow increasing these stats each year for free. I'd also put a cap to Knowledge Based secondary abilities probably since the time a child had to "learn" them is less.
First i'd like to thank you all for your answers, very helpful!
I'll propose it all to my DM and see what we can come up with
(i still don't want to be penalise seriously hard for playing a child but i can still see why i should)
The Empress is a level 7 at age 13 with no apparent loss to stats. Do remember that when deciding stats for children.
The empress is also a beast of a character with incredibly powerful background and blessings from both Gaira and Cyel...hence not standard. Actually a knight of the 7th heaven named Erika, which is also 13 years old has extraordinary strength (fights with a giant two handed hammer). Anyway, it really depends on "age". A level 13 years old child is different from an 8 years old. Also, on my opinion, a child character should either have Rokie and/or Learning (more than one point, possibly).
