So which is better? (Haarlock Legacy vs Apostasy Gambit)

By Adrenochrome, in Dark Heresy Gamemasters

I realize that this is a highly subjective question, but in the opinion of you GMs out there, is the Haarlock Legacy or the Apostasy Gambit better?

(Think I know the answer beforehand...)

Also, has anyone led their group through the entire Gambit yet? In that case, how did you, and the players like it?

Basically I can't decide which of the trilogies I want to run (I own all the books except for the Chaos Commandment). In my head, the Haarlock Legacy seems great (though with a lot of extra work for me), the Gambit seems easier to run, and can also be started at a lower rank. (As I said somewhere else, I'll be leading a new group of 4 (experienced) players, starting on rank 1. (With Edge of Darkness, thanks for pointing that one out Gregorius). So that's really the issue here - after EoD, I could probably start off the Black Sepulchre right away, whereas it might be a little too early for Dead Cities, without too much tweaking.

Or is it?

Thoughts and comments welcome.

haarlock legacy is pretting good until the end. it's writen in a arc scenario but the end is how could i say that it s like you expected something great and the end of a movie and that you see "the end" when it s over and wondering where is the apocatyliptic climax?

taken separately the first and second part of the adventures are cool the last one..........;

the aspotasit gambit is the worst campaign i ever have the displeasure to read. it s like the the haarlock legacy " oh emperor god the sector futur is at stake" but it looks like a poorly written AD & d doors, monster, treasures scenario. including ghost and emepror titan that can function with a key without a crew.

the second part is so full an illogic issues that it's need to be rewritte.

check the forum about the critics about the adventures you will have a good view of it.

that just my opinion some love them and as long as you enjoyed it there is no problem for me

I would never ever bother running "Gambit". Too much afford to tweak it into something I would deem alright. In regard to Haarlock, I actually consider starting it with a fresh set of characters.
