My friends and I have the core Descent 1ed (with no expansion packs) and we want to start playing the 2ed. I noticed that there is a conversion kit available and was wondering if it is worth buying?
We really like this game but were unfortunate to discover it when the second edition was right around the corner. Thank you!

The conversion kit is not a replacement for buying the 2e base box. It doesn't let you play 2e with the 1e base box, it just lets you use 1e figures in 2e.
It will give you 2e stat cards for all the 1e figures, but you still need the 2e base box to use those stat cards with. So, whether or not it's worth buying depends on how badly you want to use your old 1e heroes in 2e.
