Let me apologize up front if this is one that has been answered before...

I know that you can't take a Spawn Monster as a Trophy . To my knowledge, Spawn Monsters are never returned to the cup/sheet etc. due to a Gate Closing/Sealing (I think that's because they're assosciated with the moon/crescent dimensional symbol). Okay here's the question...when you have one of my favorite Mythos Cards which states that locations and/or streets are cleared of Monsters...does this apply to Spawn Monsters? My gut tells me no, but I need to hear from the community.

The short answer is No. Spawn Monsters are not affected by any game element that removes monsters outside of combat. If you want them gone, you have to get dirty with the wetworks. Riots are too out of control, Glaaki's Servants are too resilient, Abhoth's Children are too relentless to be taken down by even Hoover's boys.
