Trying out a new color scheme...

By Bravester, in Dust Tactics

So, after painting my Allied Medium walkers from the Original core set in winter camo, I decided to try out a new type of camo for my walkers.

Here is what I came up with.

The model still needs basing/clean up work done, but I am happy with it. Keep in mind that this is picture was taken with flash on, so that is why it looks glossy.

Will pots up pictures of it when it is finished!

Looks nice, what colors are you using for the rust spots?

Looks promising, reminds me of some NATO camo painting scheme;)

Jungle Camo!

Ready to fight in the pacific.

Really nice bold scheme. I like it!

I dig it. Reminds me of Cadian camo on the Kasrkin.

That is a great scheme. And on a side note, the reds you used on your jerry can are really good as well.

It's done! Bask in the glory of my yellow-tinted photographs!

(Okay, I lied-the rockets on the Steel Rain need finishing!)

All in all, I am really happy with this new color scheme, and I think it has given me some insight into how to go about painting my Allied infantry, which are still awaiting paintjobs...Unlike my Axis infantry, which are nearly completed, thanks to the fact that I finally ditched a white and gray color scheme and went with a tan, gray, and reddish brown color scheme.

Enjoy!

How did you do the icons on the side? That panda looks awesome!

Those are decals you can get from Dust-Models.com

Loophole Master is right, I get them off of Dust-models.com. I only ordered one sheet for each army, and I an running out of decals, so I am going to need to get some more sooner or later. I will probably pick up some SSU decals while I am at it.
