hi, i've so many questions. i need to know about the new version.

First,
has the new game a balance between the number of players and the quest is better?

in the last version depend of the number of players the game be very easy or very very dificult.in the last version.1)the monsters wounds change but they do the same damage. 2)the number of monster are the same indepently of number of players 3) with more heroes more line of sight for block the overlord spawn.

second,
the roleplay wound be fast or slow?

I like the cards with roleplay, in this card i like a number in the edge. in some games I do a audio file with this tipe of cards or quest and put a sound sistem to read, for don't stop many times reading. (normaly put the sound sistem in random play for card with roleplay cards) i like the atack sistem in the mansion of madness. one of the best roleplay that i see, it's very fun imagine the scene.

Third,
How many level the heroes can up with the basic version of descent the second edition?

Fourth,
has something to do out of dungeons?

Fivth,
how would the sistem of expansions of the second edition? would be the expansions re-make or new ones will come?

Simple answer: no one knows.

The game is not out yet, neither are the rules.

I want that this version being more balanced than the first in number of players and the dificult of the game.

The fact that the game was coming was announced very early to meet the board game convention season. Previews and details are generally withheld until the game is about to launch, which is why there hasn't been any new for a long time now.

We have no way of knowing that until more details about the specifics of the rules are released. FFG is generally good about learning from their mistakes with new editions, although it wouldn't surprise me in the least if their "fix" for this particular issue was to make the number of heroes static, like they did in the Advanced Campaigns for 1e.

There are indications of a stronger storytelling element in 2e, particularly in the campaign mode. That said, this is still a board game. If you want serious role-playing, you're probably better off looking into D&D.

I don't think there will be "levels" to gain, per se. There appear to be some kind of "class paths" to choose from (2 each for four different "classes" from what we've heard), but I think the bulk of character progression will still be closer to a point-based system, like it was in 1e. ie: you train new skills and add pips to your stats one at a time, you don't gain levels with an immediate power boost.

We don't know how the gear will work, but I sincerely hope they came up with something little more granular than three distinct power levels of gear.

There are some indications of an overland map, yes. At the very least, there do appear to be outdoor tiles.

One hopes they won't retread too much old territory with the conversion kit and all. Bottom line, they haven't said anything though.

I think that we want see much this edition. I think that the game can't be announced if it not finish or near to finish. I think that balance need time to be done, and has to finish a game with marked date is not good.

I really hate the game that only be good with expansion, because the desiner don't saw somenting in the creation(WoW) the game has something new (classes, new time of game play, and new rules for overlord), and, I belive ,that the designer has need the time that want for finish it, for continue the great game "Descent".

i wanna see something about the play test , but the FFG is closed with 666 keys, for open it, in the neck of Cthullu for anybody know nothing until the date.
