Bloody Lindern

By Maedhros2, in Tide of Iron

I have tried this scenario once (and get crushed on round 3(with the Americans)). But the scenario brings a couple of questions to my mind.

First: It says that all squads that are in woods, buildings or entrenchments begin the game concealed. What happen if the squad is placed in a hex contening an objective or command counter? Is the squad revealed or is it still concealed?

Second: If a hex contain only concealed squads, can I make an assault in the hex?

thanks for the help.

Ho, and I forgot; in this scenario its possible to deploy your troops in an hex adjacent to the enemy squads but what happen if both squads are concealed(i.e. deployed in cover providing terrain)?

Are they still concealed or they are imediately revealed?

First : Generally concealed squads may not start in or enter objective hexes w/o becoming revealed. See this thread and the one linked inside for further enjoyment on this topic:

Second : No ( http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/186182 , official answer by Mike Z).

Third : By rules, a concealed unit is revealed

  • when it attacks (not the case)
  • moves into an objective hex, VP marker hex (not the case)
  • at any time in LOS of an enemy unit and not being located in cover-providiing terrain (not the case, as your unit is in cover providing terrain!)
  • Adjacent to an enemy unit by the end of the Status Phase (not the case, as you're on the setup and not the end of any status phase).

Thereby: They are still concealed.
