So well, let's discuss... If I look at this Quentyn guy I see free vengeful for all unique Martell characters (granted a lot of them have it already) and oh... free draw if your opponent dares to win a challenge. And now I ask: Where is the drawback of this agenda?? Even the supersweet Power Behind the Throne agenda has a drawback or let's compare it with Knights of the Realm or the summer agenda. And it doesn't look to me you have to work too hard on your deck to get good use from the agenda.

But as you yourself point out, how much of that "good benefit" wasn't in your deck already? As you say, a lot of the unique characters already have Vengeful, but even so, as your unique characters die off, his benefit diminishes. As for the draw? Have your Martell decks really been having trouble hitting cap on a regular basis so much that Quentyn will make all the difference? Sure, he grants a lot of benefits - but to me, it's like giving someone a Lamborghini to go with their Ferrari.

I don't know.....i don't really hit the draw cap, more like put into hand. Its pretty good for 3 gold.

And there is no real draw back....as there is no real drawback for the targ or the stark one.

If I am scared of Quentyn, I will not target him for kill effects so he won't become an agenda.

If I am a Military strong deck, there is a good chance I will clean the clock of most of those Vengeful characters anyway.

If I'm strong in Stealth, I will be stealthing all those Vengeful characters that I can and keep the agenda from triggering.

Deadly helps, even if Burning in the Sand is played.

I see lots of reasons to not be too terribly worried. They just become bigger cock roaches to step on.

Also - they can't use Maester's Path, King of Summer, or any other agenda that may be helping with those stronger decks.

It's good for a non no use for greaf snad snake deck....they will be stealth, they will be deadly, they will be vengefull (even non uniques), they will be ruthless!!!! they will be SNAKES!!!

Who cares about Quentyn, all I can do is stare at what appears to be Melisandre on the cover of the box.... HOLY CRAP!

Couldn't care less about Quentyn. I don't really play Martel anyway, and I thought Quentyn's whole storyline in D w/D was really boring...

I would guess that the new Mel is a charagenda for Baratheon.

I know the effect seems quite powerful, but I really don't see why everyone is going nuts about it, or at least appear to be. There's quite a few cards that allow you to DISCARD characters, and Quentyn, and the rest of the Charagendas, require to be killed to trigger them as Agendas. You just have to find some more ways to discard characters instead of directly killing them. Just makes it more tricky and interesting.

I'm really liking these plots. None of them are very powerful, but they create a cohesive theme that I think is better than the City plots, and for me really harkens back to the Others plots from Winter Edition. Oh, how I miss those plots. Did I read it right that there will be four of them in this pack, making seven plots available in the first two packs of the set? While that is plot heavy, I hope there are more River plots to give different build options to the theme.

You Just beat me to the same post Jerusalem! Quentyn looks great and all but its generally these overarching mechanics (see: maesters, brotherhood, cities) that end up geting the most interesting play, cant wait to get my hands on the rivers! They're really cool so far, hopefully theyll be more flexible than the cities (although that said the Cities are pretty **** fexible even if there are only 8)

As a side note, the first thought I had when I saw the river that discards cards from deck was "how do build this into a Greyjoy Mill deck"... does that make me crazy?

The three charagendas we've seen so far -- Griff, Quentyn, and The Kindly Man -- are all characters that A) did not appear until either Feast or Dance and B) that are not yet represented in the LCG card pool. I expect the 3 other charagendas will be the same way, following A) because it's thematic to the Essos focus of this cycle and following B) so you won't have to sacrifice the use of other iterations in order to use the agenda.

My money is on the representative of the Iron Bank of Braavos as Bara's charagenda. Maybe Penny for Lanni and Moqorro for Greyjoy.

I'd like to see a Tormund Wildling Agenda, that is North traited so it could be used with the other three. THAT would be cool, and thinking outside the Wall. Or Mother Mole, if we're talking about new characters. But I miss Tormund.

Dang it, I just remembered they said we weren't getting any Neutral characters in this cycle. I'd been thinking about how I was hoping we would get more Neutral support for themes like Brotherhood, Night's Watch, and Wildlings, but I guess our only hope during the Essos cycle will be in-House or multi-House options. Maybe we will end up getting a Neutral deluxe expansion.

It could be that some of the neutrals are taking sides. Night's Watch allying with the Baratheon's. Wildlings marrying Starks. The Vale being manipulated on behalf of Stark. Lannister's buying favours from anyone.

I was thinking for Bara, Donal Noye would be pretty decent. He's an earlier character but he fits right in.

Also, i don't know what to think about a neutral deluxe expansion... like House Arryn type mechanics?

They become full fledged agenda's, including being untargetable and out of play. Do note, they do have to go through the moribund:agenda state so you cant trigger their abilities in the same player/framework action they die.

In Quentyns case, All your unique characters do not get vengeful in time to stand from the same military challenge that killed Quentyn. He would still be in play & moribund.

When I first opened the page, I thought: Interesting take on Ygritte. But you're probably right, it's Melisandre. Especially if there are no neutral characters in this expansion.So we'll have to wait another expanson for my favourite wildling.
