Arcana exxet finally got announced!
Arcana exxet!
Oh yeah!
Yes, yes, yes.
I hope we see Core Exxet too.
Oh man this book is so streets ahead.
I'm excited, even though my group already uses the new rules... well, most of them. There's still some new features.
I wonder when we can begin to place pre-orders.
What about the revised core rules? Aren't they required to use this book?
I hope (for english users) FFG is going to publish Core Exxet BEFORE Arcana Exxet, since otherwise I can't see how can the book be used...(ok, most stuff is on this forum, but I don't think the forum should be considered a "main resource").
I would settle for confirmation that it will be compatable with the new edition and not changed from the Spanish version to try and make it fit with the old version only.
Although as I understand it - the only part required from the 2nd edition is the change to characteristics rolls - which I don't actually know. Can anyone explain that change?
I certainly can't wait to pick it up! Wonder if this means we'll be getting Prometheum before or ~2013?

Not really true. There are two changes which are not all that significant.
1. Primary Characteristic rolls are now roll and add, with a difficulty. 10 is treated as 12.
2. Spells have 4 preset Zeon costs rather than an incremental benefits based on per Zeon spent. If you need to go back to a per Zeon method, which I don't see much reason for, you can work it out with high school math.
I do agree that Core Exxet should be done soon, but I am actually happy that we get Arcana Exxet first.
Given that the Core Book recently got reprinted, I am not sure it bodes well for Core Exxet soon though.
Can you explain in more detail how those characteristic rolls work please?
The old system was roll under (I think - it's been a while since I played) if I remember rightly. I definitely know it was the least elegant part of the system.
So is it now roll 1D10 + your stat - what's the the standard difficulty?

Yes, though a 10 is considered a 12.
Difficulties are:
Simple 6+
Normal 10+
Complex 15+
Extreme 20+
