What to do with Q'Sal

By Ryder, in Black Crusade Game Masters

So I'm hoping to start a Black Crusade Campaign eventually and I was wondering, what do you do with Q'Sal? I mean it's interesting I just have no idea what to do with it.

Well in my game it was the source of the first real true compact my PCs did. Their silver tongued Apostate promised loads of slaves as that was all the Q'sal wanted and the group got a rather nice frigate but they then had to deliver on the slaves. We actually have played a lot of Rogue Trader so stated up the ship with a reduction in armour and increase in speed to make the ship somewhat more elegant.

So in my game it's become important to the party as a relatively safe port of call for acquiring new ships though the more undivided territory of Kurse seems to have somehow become a favourite.... possibly the fact they'll accept other forms of trade is also quite nice. I've been running the game in a very sand box manner leaving hooks and NPCs to talk to and get info off but since that compact my players just haven't chosen to go there too often. In short I have been and will continue to use it as a slightly quirky safe port as long as the group behaves their, I imagine if they seriously frustrate the locals in a profound way it could lead the Qsal powers that be to start pulling strings amongst the various warbands and power groups that owe them.
