Did anyone see the last episode of Big Bang Theory? (couldn“t find a thread about it here) They played a game of Talisman and Sheldon kept talking about Minstrels (perhaps a coincident). *Geek warinig!* I think they had too many charcters on the board and I they said something like "yey! double 6s!" and I don't know if they were at the temple. Anyone see any other "problems"?
Big Bang Theory Talisman
(I know there is more places that you roll two dices but I can't think of any now)
Another episode? I know they played it in "The Tangerine Factor" and "The Peanut Reaction". I mentioned a few anomiles from those episodes when I reported on them last year.
I even made a card to celebrate the fact that they made up the contents of the City space...
I must research to see if this is the latest series!
I just managed to snag a copy of the episode and you are right! This is the third appearance of Talisman on The Big Bang Theory!
Come on FFG!! Let's get them a copy of the Revised 4th Edition, or at the very least an Upgrade Pack!
I've added the news to Talisman Island .
Thanks ilgoga!!
The warrior was one of the (too many) characters on the board. Perhaps he was rolling for combat
or he had a riding horse
Also, there was a Toad character on the crown of command. I guess someone's random spell worked
Strangely, this is the 2nd time or even 3rd time Talisman has been on their table and they were playing it.
I wonder if FFG could invite them to GenCon for fun and a meet and greet session if they are gamers? or even not!
I really like the Big Bang Theory...funny show.
I think the anomolies with how they play the game could be to avoid some sort of conflict with FFG. Or it may be that they just don't care what the game is...it is a prop to show their 'nerdiness'. I mean...grown men playing board games! Its such an odd ball thing...its not like you could found an industry around it or something...
I can't wait for my copy...
Double post...there goes my nerd cred...
I'm going with the idea that it's just a prop and c'mon y'all what could really be dorkier then a game with large cardbord figures of wizards and elves and toads... The BI 4th Edition actually reads better for the camera than the FFG edition would with the smaller plastic figures that you wouldnt really see the full awesomeness of the game! I do wonder though if any of them play the game!
