Co-op vs PvP

By Budgernaut, in Star Wars: The Card Game

Cooperative! There are already three other PvP games, I dont have alot of friends who play or a close hobby store for a change in opponents, and I want to be able to play with people who have never played a card game before without decimating them so they arent having fun.

With both, it seems hard enough to design a good co-op game as it is. Trying to do both sounds like a nightmare.

Co-op 23, PvP 19.

And just friendly reminder to keep discussion to a minimum in this page. Feel free to briefly justify your opinion, but responses should be kept to the other pages. Thank you! happy.gif

Co-op for me.

Bump in case anyone hasn't voted yet.

Co-op...

I have the old Decipher SW ccg and it is still great, but co-op would be better option for casual playing.

PvP.

To be fair, gauging in this way might not be completely... balanced. I strongly prefer PvP and after playing the game at GenCon last year checked out on this game until recently. I imagine most of the Co-Op players have a reason to still be around, but anyone who was initially turned off by the co-op only piece of this game is unlikely to be sticking around.

PvP

Used to play Decipher and would love an updated version where Luke wasn't ultra rare

PvP is the way to go. If I can't play the Dark Side(and by Dark Side, I mean Darth Vader), then I just won't buy it.

solo/co-op because 1) it';s entirely different then any other star wars game out there (esp. a card game) and 2) I'd actually have people to play with....

PVP all the way. I just prefer head to head challenges against other players who can make intelligent decisions.

CO-OP with the option of solo player I am a MTG addict but it is very hard to find another person to play against. loving co-op in LOTR it is awesome!!

PVP, co-op LotR was way too big a disappointment for the same to happen to Star Wars.

One more vote for co-op.

Definitely co-op. I game with my girlfriend and she's far more open to playing co-op games with me than pvp games.

Co-op/solo play would be much preferable to me. Another PvP game would be a deal-breaker.

I am also in the co-op/solo camp. However, it would be nice to have a pvp varient included as well.

31 Co-Op - 25 PVP I don't think this is a bad way to do it especially as now the PVP people are looking again so over all we should get a reasonable reflection of what people want... At least, that's what I like to tell myself :P

Definitely PvP. Won't touch it if it's co-op.

My vote is for co-op, but as other threads have shown it will not in *any way* be co-op. The game is now for 2 players. If there were any cooperative component it would be 2+. Sad panda...

pvp, with a multiplayer playablitly, competitive game play = pvp and it creates a more enthusiastic enviorment to play in

PVP bescause if I wanna play coop, I play RPGs

I wish you were my friend.

(Note: I already voted.)

PvP. Co-op option would be nice icing on the cake. Co-op sounds great in theory, but always ends up being a solvable puzzle. Still cool as an added feature.

Co-op.

I was really looking forward to playing this co-op with my 7 year old son who is a huge star wars fan. I wouldn't mind a pvp element as well, but the co-op part is really the primary reason I was even interested.

Co-op with the possibility of solo play, as there are already various other PvP Star Wars card games - another is not needed that will be dead in a few years when the player base loses interest. Already got piles of Star Wars CCG, Young Jedi, Jedi Knight, Star Wars TCG that no one plays anymore.
