How does he work exactly? For example, if someone has used infernal obsession on one of my characters and then I win a combat struggle to take control of infernal obsession what happens to my character and what happens to infernal obsession? Also, on the flipside say Im taking control of a card from my opponent like a shotgun can I then equip it to one of my characters or does it get discarded? Im just unsure of the proper steps to follow when you take control of your opponents support cards...
Repo Man
You take control of it, but it doesn't change who it's attached to. Yeah, disappointing I know
However, not all Support cards are attachments either...
Are you sure that's correct? That would sure make repo man a lot less useful...
Depends. Some effects on attachments grant benefits by a passive effect. Others are triggered effects that you can still trigger when it is attached to their character. In regards to Repo Man the FAQ actually addresses this directly:
What happens if I use Repo Man (Summons
of the Deep F41) to take control of Infernal
Obsession (Summons of the Deep F51) which
was attached to a character I own?
Repo Man takes control of Infernal
Obsession, which causes that original
character to revert to your control.
Infernal Obsession is now discarded.
I ran into this issue when looking at Thief for Hire. Yeah, he's less good than he would be if he had a better special ability that worked another way. I guess that's true of every character though
It's up to you to decide if he's still worth it with the ability he actually has. Losing possession of an attachment stops *some* things. It doesn't stop other things. In the case of Repo Man, I'd use him as a defensive character you so you can see which struggles would benefit from his ability before deciding where to commit him.
Ok, I have another question regarding the repo man. If my opponent has a shotgun equipped to one of his characters and I take control of it via the repo man's ability what happens? I realize that I don't get to equip it to one of my guys but does it get discarded? If not, can my opponent still use the ability on the shotgun if I am the one that is controlling it now? Also, can I use the shotgun since I am now controlling it even if its still attached to my opponent?

So could I use the shotguns ability to wound the character it's attached to?
Yep. Call it a "self-inflicted wound."
