I'm confused on traveling around the Vortex. Is the Vortex actually in the Warp or is it just like real space? Can you do warp travel in the Vortex to get from planet to planet faster?

It is in real space, and acts mostly like it. However, there is a certain weakness of the barriers between the two realms, and the closer one gets to the core, the more the warp leaks through, until the very core of the vortex is almost completely merged with the warp.

One may however travel the warp as normal. Or as normal as using hell for a shortcut gets, at any rate .
