Maybe I lack some Imagination, but I'm used to complete Adventures...how did my Fellow GM's Deal with this? Or did you simple ignore it?

I didn't. I am assuming that this will come up in a future campaign. For now it's enough that the player's suspect that somebody is steering the Nids. Maybe Samech/the Stigmartum? The Tau would be a surprise.
