Makai high noble- Don't get why it's good.

By Hanzo2, in UFS General Discussion

Hey guys.

Recently I've playtesting against the arduos new order lockdown decks that apear to be popping up all over the place, y'know to prepare for regionals and whatnot. But i've found that Order's pretty much only defence against Owlface is Makai igh noble and it only works to some extent.

The question is though why is Makai high noble considered good?

It's stats are quite stellar don't get me wrong but for two of it's symbols you may as well use blinding rage. ( Sports better stats and cannot eb stopped, plus works while committed.) happy.gif

Is olcadan's the answer to Order's foundation base currently? I mean seriously. The potentially best resource come block 3 has no answer to the "staple". Perhaps that's how you win.

Makai can be stopped far too easily I think and it's ability is mediocre even when it works. Bleh free momentum's no problem.

Cheers.

P.S Anybody who could get an image of MHN and put it on here for those not in the know would be amazing. Cheers guys.

Hanzo.

Simply put, it'll allow the removal of whatever you wish on your opponent's table if he so much destroys one of your foundations. While extra foundations is good, a sniped destruction of your opponent's board can be fatal.

The new bison foundation can blow up Olcadan's as well if you dont like maki high noble I do still think its a staple for order in my opinion .

Because olcadons will shut down any deck that doesn't have an answer to it. And no one wants to have to experiance combatant an olcadon's.

Hmmm TBH I cocked up my statement about MHN being Order's only line of defense, can't believe I forgot combatant ¬_¬.

Hatman: Dude it's not a destruction or even a 1-1 trade really it adds to momentum which sin't exactly difficult to recur/use.

Hi! I'm Makai High Noble.

I've got sickeningly good stats, enjoy hanging out in your staging area, and like to snipe off pesky things in your opponents staging area.

While I'm in main deck, my rocking six check makes people enjoy packing me.
From you hand, I provide an effective full block to Feline Spike, and other high attack monstrosities.

On top of all of that I provide an extra mental element while I sit in your staging area. Your opponent is going to have to calculate what exactly he's going to blow up while I'm there, and how he's going to get around me. More things to think about, often causes people to make mistakes.

Yeah... that's about all I've got at this time.

Total global domination also gets it off the board.

Makai High Noble...huh...what card does that remind me of that also adds cards from the opponent's staging area to their momentum...

The answer is simple. It punishes Olcadan's by allowing for selection staging area sniping. Red Lotus is a real pain in the ass (so are Chester's, Seal, and Inhuman Perception), and it either removes them from the staging area or baits them out; either way, Order wins the exchange.

correct me if i am wrong but cant it just put olcadons into there momentum ending the problem of it until they can find a way to get it back.

RIght spinta can get of mentoring so its another way for order to deal with it .

hanzo what are you thinking? order has good if not great ways to deal with olcadon. i-spin, high noble, some of bison's new stuff, order is loaded with anti olcadons. if you realy want to talk about something order lacks, talk about anti cc hax.

Also, it could be that the original poster is confusing Makai High Noble with Lord of the Makai--a card that's not just good, it's (hopefully) bannably good.

Iceberg Circular was the other acceptable answer, Pirate. I'm gonna miss Cervy =(

*Sniff* Me too megageese, me too.

Well at least now i've learnt a good lesson, MHN is quite good.

But only really in order as opposed to blinding rage. My other concern was taht makai's R. is easily stoppable.

And no i'm not confusing it with that card that shouldn't be banned. ( Total air fanboyism here. gui%C3%B1o.gif )

Cheers anyhow

Evil plans is sorta anti-hax for attacks anyway. In some cases it can be a damage pump as well.

For the other two symbols on MHN, MHN serves as Blinding Rage 5-8. Easy way to think of it, now you have alot of ways to protect the cards you need in play.

i like both of them but i value MHN over blinding rage as it is just two easy to work round.

the truth is always true. ISpin is true.

Blinding Rage CAN be worked around, you just need to keep track of how many copies of what foundations are in their discard... if they have 1 Chester's out and the other 3 are in their discard pile, then Blinding Rage won't help them much when you Owlface that Chester's away~

True story sometimes when having blinding rage and mentorings across the table its all about being a good player and sizing up the board and discard pile .
