im quiet proud of what happened to this post but I will say this. My friends and i have played this game for about a year we play a lot meaning that we kinda get bored of the fact that tau and tyranids were the main focus!

And the counterpoint to this was that the writers have only so much time to write content, and have to focus on something. You'd see a barrage of complaints if they had one paragraph detailing each and every part of the galaxy. You play far more than most people I've ever met, meaning you chew through content faster than the average consumer. You cannot sell to the minority here, you have to sell to the primary audience. Just because you've played a video game from start to finish three times doesn't mean the developer can produce the add ons and extra content any faster.

And no one was mad that you didn't want to fight Tau, it was the way you approached the subject, complaining the books were too expensive and how FFG was dumb because they didn't put enemy X in for you to fight. That annoys people.

And I'm assuming by "I'm quite proud" you mean that you're not proud? Not sure if English is your first language or not- if it is not, you might want to tell folks that, as they'll be less likely to jump on sentences like that and assume that you're trolling again.

Now im sorry if you bunch got upset... luckly i don't care i came to this forum for advice on rules and how to play!

Because you were acting like a troll dude, go back and check your prior posts- all caps and insults rarely provoke helpful responses

Now i came to this forum once more to seek help on making the game greater see if there is anyone who actually stepped out into a new camp far in the future were the Imperium is in danger.

The Imperium is in danger all of M41, the trick, I think, is to make the current fight your players are involved in feel like a big deal. You can do that without breaking canon and in my experience without going from one end of the galaxy to the other. There are only a few campaigns I've seen on here that go up to 999. Most people have done that in order to be current with novels and have certain races- namely the Necrons- a full fledged enemy. I don't think most of us do full galaxy spanning adventures given that you can spend a lifetime on an individual planet and not run out of things to do. I don't think there is going to be a lot of campaign source material on here for your style of game. There are some good campaign logs out there, but most of them are centered in the Reach, or with already established enemies.

Thats why i wanted help see if someone like me wrote at states hell i can post all the nec stats i did getting them as close too BC little blurb about them.

So i read what you guys said no one but professor kylan gave me something to work off of

I say thanks i really will like what you did same as the other gent who did the ork stats.

Well I guess you didn't like No-1's stuff. You can also dig up some Dark Eldar stuff if you look in the houserules forum and do a search. I think there is some Necron stuff in there as well you might compare your stats against.

Charmander, it is soo awesome that you got here before I did....I am simply blown away by the level of patience and calmness demonstrated herein...I don't know how you people do it... gran_risa.gif (My reply was gonna be much less nice, and I was ranting on and on about censorship enfadado.gif ....my poor lost post!...)

If there's anything to be learned here, boys 'n girls, it's that honey attracts more love than vinegar. Politeness and courtesy are the way to go.

So, yeah....my righteously indignant thunder got stolen...I'm outta here!

Thank you, I have found that if I delete my original responses a couple of time, by iteration 3 or 4 I have something that is much more constructive.

If I could only do this when I'm talking to people face to face. gui%C3%B1o.gif

^ noobs

You speak wisdom, Charmander! Measure twice, cut once (or as we say hereabouts: 'I cut her three times and she's still too short!") gui%C3%B1o.gif

Let this thread die....

Please.

Let this thread die....

Please.

And yet you bumped it...

"It is said that at the dawning of M3 would come

a great war of fire and fury.

And lo, shall one troll fall

as another rises.

The flames will gutter

and die

and leave but ashes

but the warriors of the war

shall remain to stand.

"Long will they stand,

in silence, awkward,

until one rises and cries,

ENOUGH!

Allow this war to have its end!

Allow this battleground to return

to nothingness!

Quit this place and speak of it not,

lest history repeat

and the war of fire and fury ignites anew!

"But in their hubris,

they will not listen.

The war that had consumed

so many lunch breaks.

That raised a fearsome

nerdrage in us all.

It would not quiet.

It would not go willingly,

and we did not let it die.

"Let this battleground live.

Let it stand as a warning,

to any who would boast

of gaming weeks of five days.

Let it stand as a warning,

to all who would claim

to make other groups

defecate in their pants.

Let it stand as a warning,

to every warrior of the internet,

that some claims will not go

unquestioned.

Let it stand my brothers,

let it stand."

Dammit Kylan, you win the internets! aplauso.gif

I assume FFG did market research and developed their books with that in mind. If you think they're horrible, that's likely because you're not part of the target audience.

I think you've guaranteed yourself a position as a remembrancer in a future life my friend.

Future life? Skald fo' life, baby!

To reply to places.

I am a black library fanatic I have seen daemon worlds, snow worlds jungle worlds. I don't know im sick of jericho reach my squad has played all those 12 planets i am not making them restart the sh*tty jericho reach.

eldar. I am sorry but if the eldar are not in jericho reach and you played all those planets. your squad moves on and fights eldar

this game is supposed to be an rpg about deathwatch space marines…. deathwatch are tasked to hunt down eldar all the time! same as necrons! Soo ive heard about jericho maps and im saying my squads beaten them. Do i just close the book and say "thats deathwatch" come on

ive been makin camps for my squad its just a pain in the ass and i was hoping for camp ideas and see if anyone made heroes. and about heroes in the table top game you can play with heroes.. Whats the harm in playing with them in deathwatch? For example my deathwatch squad in there camp meet with eldrad uthran farseer from ulthwe. they didn't kill him but what says they can't? you can play with him in table top but not in Dw? kinda stupid

That's because tabletop doesn't preserve canon. I've seen official matches with combined tyranid/sisters of battle armies going up against combined ork/dark eldar/necrons. DEATHWATCH IS AN RPG - IT IS NOT A BLACK LIBRARY VEHICLE FOR THE RANDOM RETCON **** THEY PULL. If you want stats, make them or search for them yourself.

I have been a fan of warhammer 40k sense i was a kid so when i heard of Dw i looked into it. And what i find is the lack in lore, what i mean is certain races of warhammer are not in it at all (Necrons , sisters of battle , dark eldar , Daemon Hunters ,eldar ) plus the GREAT Mark of xenos book has a little on infantry and support plus "Masters." But nothing on actual heroes from the table top game and nothing on actual vehicles.

But my biggest problem though is how FFG thought they got close to the warhammer universe.

Also i looked into Bc and Dh and there stats are so nerfed for Dw that i can't use em with out getting a headache.

Don't believe me!

Prove me wrong find a sheet for anything involving

orks: not "boyz" what about kommandoes and battlewagons , werid boy , mad docs. AND REAL STATS FOR WARBOSSES and stats for WARLORDS!! Im sorry but a warboss in Dw is a walk in the park for my men and i HATE IT. Read salamander by Nick kyme and you here of A ACTUAL WARBOSS WHO DEFEATS MORE THEN A SQUAD OF TERMINATORS (Fire Drakes) and a chaplin plus what ever normal brother who got in the way! And some heros from the board game would be nice. Gorgutz idc

Tyranids: all i ask is stats for "old one eye" and the "red terror" PLEASE!!! but besides that its fine.

Tau: I never understood why tau in Mark of Xenos had more pages then orks sense like tau are the most disliked race. EVER. but they could use heros which i know they have.

chaos: The only race with a tad of vehicles. BUT chaos should have so many cool heroes from the table top game making it more exciting like fabus bile or abbadon. (abbadon i know would be a stretch)

eldar: THE BEST EXAMPLE THE ELDAR WERE THE OGs (original gangsters) of WARHAMMER TAU WERE MADE IN THE LAST 5 YEARS. WHO CARES ABOUT THE TAU MAKE SOME ELDAR PAGES!!!

places: it needs more.

all these things i ***** about is cause i love this game its fun. But it seems like it was made half ass.

Also Black crusades page on grey knights IS DISGUSTING OF HOW WEAK THEY ARE.

ALL I ASK IS FOR ALL YOU GMS WITH MADE UP STATS FOR ORKS , ELDAR , DE , DAEMON HUNTERS , HEROS , CAMPs

i would love to see it all cause i figure you guys are better at making a rpg for warhammer the FFA who is money grubbing *****.

BOOKS ARE TOOO MUCH MONEY

So, basically, you want everyone else to do everything for you, including absolutely everything from 40K in their work, so that you can have it, for free, because you don't like what FFG has produced and you're not going to spend the money on it? In short: No.

"If you stat it, they will kill it."

True. :)

Sometime I wonder why some of us play RPG.

You think this game miss some heroes and places, things to make the world more alive.

I don't want to be rude but wtf do it.

It's your game, it is your world.

Look at stats for NPC and adapt what you need. It isn't that difficult.

Take a look at your players level if you need to see xhat they can fight and make your own special human, xenos or whatever you like.

More you will construct your game, the most your player will like it.

Good luck to you and if you need some advise post some templates you've done and we will help you to make them even better.

All I want is a Leman Russ tank, so I can actually use Rising Tempest as written. That would make papa smile.

I just figured that Fantasy Flight Games wanted Chaos as one of the primary adversaries to mitigate the Deathwatch Training Talent of automatically confirming Righteous Fury on xenos. Something to mix up the action. I will agree that Orks don't get enough love in the Jericho Reach, but I figured with four different lines of RPGs out there, it would be a massive chore to compile a book containing all the known threats (Chaos, Dark Eldar, Eldar, Necrons, Orks, Tau, Tyranid, a mix of xenos like the Hrud or Slaugh). The book would probably have to be as massive as the core book.

I would so buy that book.

(duplicate post, sorry)

That part of Rising Tempest certainly was interesting. Luckily we had the Only War stats, but I've always wondered how people would run that section without needing to homebrew/house-rule it.

BYE

I'm going to swap the LR for three Sentinel walkers, using the Into the Storm stats.

Beyond that, every planet is, well, a planet , and planets are customarily very, very big. Each thus contains the room for as many different missions and situations as a place the size of Earth.

This isn't entirely true - the amount of usable RPG material in a fictional setting has nothing to do with its in-character physical size and has everything to do with the number of interesting, usable plothooks attached to it. In this sense the number of actual *planets* in the Jericho Reach is a complete red herring, what matters is the amount of interesting source material.

Of course the OP seems to be complaining that Deathwatch does not contain *literally as much source material as the entire Black Library back catalogue*.

Why don't you just make some up?
