Characters and their income

By Yepesnopes, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Hello all!

In my campaign, in between adventures, my players dedicate often to their other life, the "boring" one. How they earn their life, either by being a coachman, a merchant or a gambler playing at local taverns, depends entirely on their current career. Typically I use table 10-1: Approximate Income in the Reikland (page 96 of the Player's Guide) together with a die roll related to the character profession to determine their monthly or weekly income for that period between adventures.

My question is, how much money do you think people in the Old World are able to save? I believe that after taxes and everyday expensens it should be little, may be it depends on their tier and /or initial wealthl level? I was wondering if this savings can range from 0 to a maximum of 30%?

Any idea or suggestion?

Cheers

how about Int+Wp-5 % so a character with wp2 int 2 essentially is on a downward spiral to being indebted getting in trouble with loansharks etc gran_risa.gif

add new basic skill: 'household economy for dummies' (int)

and new focus talent: 'Thrifty' add one fortune die to any haggle checks & +2% to savingsrate, but incur 1 stress whenever paying for others or paying more than standard cost for an item or service

(mainly meant as a joke ...but ...)
