Do cards entering play as INSANE still trigger "enter play" effects?

This says "Put into play INSANE" not "Put into play, THEN go insane" (I am new but I think there was a card with text like that's as well isn't there) ANYWAY... as cards come into play do their entering play effects still trigger?

Like...

Also... just a check on insanity in general while your readings...

A insane character is more than just tapped, it is also "kind of like" a blanked text box.. as in you can not activate any abilities, though you can selects insane chatterer for sacrifice... But types (like villainous, deep one, etc) still count.

Is this all correct?

The "enter play" text is blank on an insane character, so in this case no. If the text was on some other card, then it would work. Say there was a support that said when a character enters play do X, that kind of thing.

Technically an insane character is not exhausted (tapped). Its a third card state seperate from Ready and Exhausted. A common misconception and widely unimportant as 99.5% of the time characters will follow the normal progression from insane>exhausted>ready.

Onto your real point... (sorry about that)

Correct, an insane character has no printed... anything, other than its still a character and it retains its name (unique rules still appy). No abilities, no traits, no keywords, nadda.

However since it is indeed still a character you can sacrifice it if an effect calls for you to sacrifice a character.

ok.. I got it.. sweet... thanks guys
