is it the same subtype and just misprint? or is it different subtypes (but wtf ffg need it)?
can Magnus Stiles sacrifice sorcerOr?

Probably a typo, but there is a past example of FFG deciding to let a suspected typo stand and create a whole new subtype: Chthonian vs. Cthonian.
Hopefully this will not fall into the same trap!

When did the Chthonian thing happen? I always thought they were considered a typo and were to be treated as the same...
What I'm going by is that it's not listed in the FAQ. If FFG determined that this was a typo and they should be considered the same then there should be a errata entry in the FAQ to declare this.
Seeing has how H.P. Lovecraft often spelled the same thing many different ways, I would argue that Chthonian and Cthonian are the same thing, as are Sorceror and Sorcerer. It just adds more of an authentic feel to the game

Since it's not mentioned in the FAQ I can put three copies of each version of this card in my deck, right?
If this was MtG, or some highly competitive tournament game, this would be a big deal. But with Call of Cthulhu as it is, although technically these things should be fixed in the FAQ, I think we all know that they are simple errors and should be treated as equal.
I'm totally fine with that, if it looks like a typo it should be treated as one. However, I also don't see any good reason for FFG to not update the FAQ with these errata once they're pointed out. Otherwise someone can claim they're not the same keyword and you're going to have to let them have their way because nothing in the rules backs you up.
Thing is, I've seen Sorcerer/Sorceror or Cthonian/Chthonian mentioned in multiple other threads before and nobody has ever said anything about treating them as typos - this is the first time anyone's mentioned it. So I figured we were all just suffering in the same boat waiting for FFG to issue an errata and fix the issue. If that's how the community is dealing with it then I'm happy to do so as well.
My suggestion is for someone to send it in to the rules link.

How do you feel about "The Greatest Fear..." vs. "The Greatest Fear"?

Oh, I actually got a quote from Damon on this one. They are considered to be the same card. I almost did this for the championship too. Still found a better deck to play... =/
