Tourny has been pretty awesome. Can't say I'm doing as well as I'd like, I really hate a certain deck type that I've been matched up in 3 of my 4 games against so far which has been slightly annoying(I won't give away what it is since there are still games to be played.) I also am glad people are getting a chance to play together, such as myself, that don't have a larger play group around them. I hope that we can do this in the future more often.

agreed. i would like this to be semi annual with the Winter Classic starting Jan1 and the Summer Classic starting July1. That way there is some break in between, but not so long as to have people forget about it.

I think the best part of this tournament is that participating forces you to interact with players outside of the forums. It's easy to play in such a way that revolves around your meta, but being exposed to other decks, ideas, and meeting new people is a great experience.

I'm glad I decided to play in the tournament and know that I would have regretted not participating.

GenCon is a gaming convention set in Indy every August. I agree that we'd need to start in June if we wanted to get it done in time. I am actually thinking about having more of a league than an actual tournament. This way you can be as involved as you want to be. You don't HAVE to play a game every week, but there will be people to play against every week. Plus it will feel a bit easier for newer players who have already started seeing ways to improve their deck. They aren't stuck with a crappy deck for a month and a half, they are only stuck with it for a week or two. lol After the end of say 8 weeks we can have the top 8 play off in a single elimination tourney.
