R Discard 2 cards: After your opponent's Ready Step, commit 1 foundation or asset. If your character has the [order] resource symbol, commit 2 foundations or assets instead.

If I have this card in my staging area and my character has the order resource symbol, can I commit 1 foundation and 1 asset in my opponent's staging area or can I only commit 2 foundations or 2 assets?

You can only commit 2 foundations OR assets. You can't mix and match.

wow... and did you see how it is not "up to 2"?

you cannot play the effect at all if your opponent only have one foundation and/or one asset ready if you are an Order character.

Thats not exactly true..you are allowed to mix and match, you can get 1 asset and 1 foundation if you want. Its been ruled that way in the past as far as i know

if they don't have 2, then you commit what they have.

Does that also hold true for Remy, who has a similar effect?

Yes, you do as much as you can. You may commit 1 foundation and 1 asset if you want, and if they only have 1 foundation or asset, you commit it.

So is this a reversal on the FGH ruling? Can you now do "as much as you can" with FGH?

Not at all.

FGH reads, "blah blah blah. You may play 2 attacks blah blah blah." You can ALWAYS fulfil the entire ability by choosing to play 0 attacks. Or to word it differently, it's always possible to do as much as you can by playing 0 attacks. It's basically a special case.
