Interesting. I think this could be done.
The process to take the card you switched would be rather complicated. If you're on the Plain of Peril when you cast the Spell and switch a Talisman with a Sword, you can't take it on the same turn. You have to go back to the Portal Of Power and then on the Plain of Peril on next Turn (if you wish, you might also go to Crypt/Mines and Turn Back).
This Spell is just Remove any faceup Adventure Card from the board & move it to any space in the same Region not occupied by a Character.

Right, forgot that. Then you can't use it to take the Object on the same Turn, but you're going to take it next Turn if you move on a space and succesfully face the challenges there (if any).
I suppose there's no problem with it. However, Spells in the Inner Region usually cause problems. It would have been wise to add some wording like in Teleport Spell (this Spell can't be used in the Inner Region). They seem to allow everything in the Reaper Expansion, but is it really good that way?
I dare not answer your question about the Gust of Wind in the Inner Region.
Destruction might be used to destroy a face up Adventure Card on the Crown, but if you ask there should be some text I'm missing right now.
