How fast do Character Agenda's kick in?

By oshi2, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

lets say Griff dies. he is not saved, but as a replacement effect he is attached to your house card as an agenda.

I guess the first question would be, would he go moribund:leave play since agendas are considered not in play? if yes, does this prevent his agenda text from being triggered while moribund?

a scenario to help me understand : if griff dies and has attachments on him, not saved, so does he become an agenda in time for him to bounce those attachments?

Let's not get too worked up about cards that haven't been released yet. Specifically, don't assume that things we say about Griff will be generally applicable to all cards since we haven't seen their text yet. However:

Compare it to Benjen Stark. While he is "moribund:dead pile," he is not actually in your dead pile when it is shuffled back in your deck. Same sort of thing with Griff. While is is "moribund:agenda," he is not actually attached to your House card as an Agenda yet, so his Agenda text will not be active.

Conceptually, this is actually a good thing. Imagine if when he died, you also met the attachment requirements for his agenda text to return him to play. If the agenda text was active while he was "moribind:agenda," that means he would be returned to play while moribund, effectively turning "moribund:dead pile" into "moribind:agenda" into "moribund:play." Talk about rules paradox.

So anyway, when killed and replaced to become an agenda, Griff's agenda abilities are not available - and will not be available until he physically leaves play at the end of the window and officially becomes the agenda (the way Benjen officially enters the dead pile).

his agenda text couldnt send him back to play cause he was already moribund and it is not a replacement effect. but i see your point. good to know.
