Power Behind the Throne

House (1)
House Lannister (Core) x1 (best card in this category)

Agenda (1)
The Power Behind the Throne (LotR) x1 (Broken?)

Plot (7)
At the Gates (GotC) x1 (I open Games with Gates -> Creylen making outwit a live card)
Shadows and Spiders (LotR) x1 (Can allow me to control a turn)
Outwit (TIoR) x1 (Very powerful if you are good at the psychology. Allows you to overextend a little to do 4 challenges)
Game of Thrones (LotR) x1 (High init and combos with Agenda. The only card that matters?)
Schemes of the Scholar (HtS) x1 (Creylen won't kneel, but the second sentaince lets you discard 4 cards potentially)
Loyalty Money Can Buy (QoD) x1 (For recovery turns)
Valar Morghulis (Core) x1 (standard Boardwipe)

Character (35)
Tywin Lannister (LotR) x1 (renown and potential 3 extra power, although I find it hard to save the gold)
Ser Jaime Lannister (LotR) x1 (Renown helps win dominance)
Cersei Lannister (LotR) x1 (Combos with agenda and rush strat.)
Timett Son of Timett (MotM) x1 (Renown, Need some mil too)
Shagga Son of Dolf (DB) x1 (Combos with Timett, himself, Painted Dogs, Refugees. Need some MIL)
Ser Balon Swann (TWH) x1 (Mil and then help negate agenda disadvantage)
Ser Arys Oakheart (PotS) x1 (Standard card/renown)
Joffrey Baratheon (TftRK) x1 (Rush card)
Myrcella Lannister (LotR) x1 (cost effective bicon with option to do a 5th challenge)
Tommen Baratheon (SA) x1 (Draw)
Ser Amory's Poachers (LotR) x3 (renown, makes your opponent have to think which gives them more opportunities to error)
Brothel Guard (LotR) x3 (Rush Card, makes opponent think)
Painted Dogs (IG) x3 (Very Versatile card, Opponents often forget to notice it and over commit to defend)
Mountain Refugee (RoW) x3 (Standard card, wish it was Mil Int)
Enemy Informer (Core) x2 (Standard control card, no reason not to have a little control)
Bringers of Law (AE) x1 (I just like this card Good against apposing kneel)
Maester Creylen (FtC) x1 (Rush, good on turn one to get going with x2 int)
Qyburn (SaS) x1 (Usually a surprise, deadly on INT)
Ghost of High Heart (WLL) x1 (back-up learned crest for Outwit, in general a good card)
Lannisport Weaponsmith (Core) x2 (Money)
Lannisport Moneylender (LotR) x3 (Money)
Lannisport Councilor (RotO) x1 (Money)
Varys (SaS) x1 (Ally Hate Surprise stealth on INT)

Location (13)
The Goldroad (LotR) x3 (Standard)
Queen Cersei's Chambers (LotR) x1 (standard)
Golden Tooth Mines (Core) x2 (Standard. Felt like 2 is enough w/ cache tommen and Insidious)
Lannisport (Core) x1 (Rush)
Lannisport Brothel (Core) x1 (Standard Auto-include control)
Lannisport Tourney Grounds (ODG) x1 (plays into agenda advantage)
The Iron Throne (LotR) x1 (Broken)
Coin Mint (LotR) x3 (better than the seas cus some cards need gold: Tywin, Creylen, Lannisport. Also lets you save for a big turn)

Event (9)
Misinformation (TWH) x3 (No cost surprise. Ameliorates agenda disadvantage)
Insidious Ways (Core) x3 (Draw. Surprise way to win challenges)
Terminal Schemes (LotR) x1 (Surprise Death)
Paper Shield (QoD) x2 (Cancel can really "tilt" opponents)

Attachment (4)
Pyromancer's Cache (TWot5K) x3 (Best Draw)
Slander and Lies (HtS) x1 (lets me keep my gold, great lose to win card)

Thoughts: No real answer to GG other than playing a superior number of chars. I am thinking about pyromancer's apprentice and condemned by the council . I an not sure about tywin, sitting on 4 gold is a lot and it basically takes away your income advantage. Other cards I am not sure about: varys, ghost of high heart.

Maybe I should put more control such as Alchemist's guild hall, Attendant.

Another card I would like feedback on is Citadel Politics . I tried that for a while and found that it was hard to do 3 INT challenges esp if I was kneeling Creylen to play it. Also I felt compelled to put more Maesters and there are not a lot of good ones that play to the strength of the deck. Furhter if I have to wipe Creylen it is a dead card. It's definately better than Shadow Politics though.

I feel I have a bit of a onetrack mind with the Plots. Feel like I could drop Schemes of the Scholar for something more versatile.

I think "condemned by the council" is a natural fit for this sort of deck and fills a need in the deck. I'd go with it.

As for "Varys" and "Ghost of High Heart", of the two I'd keep Varys. Ghost is a good card, but I don't think essential to this sort of deck.

Regarding plots, have you considered "The Art of Seduction"? I played against this agenda this weekend and my opponent used that plot to great effect on the same turn I valar'd (which he cleverly anticipated). Making your opponent suffer two rounds of no claim and only 2 gold can be massive.

I like your thinking with the "Misinformation", to hedge on the possible drawback of your agenda. I suggested the same event to the player I played against, since I benefitted quite a bit when I was able to win a few intrigue challenges against him (and drew into cards that helped power my win).

I have considered making a "rush" deck with this agenda myself. I think there's good potential there. Let us know how it works out for you.

Oh, and I'd add in Littlefinger (the one that doesn't kneel to attack) in place of "ghost of high heart". Would give you another character that doesn't need to kneel to take advantage of your agenda.

I had dropped littlefinger as too expensive of an ally, since I would rarely get him at a discount, but he is definitely in my pool of near includes.

im surprised at only 1 copy of cersei, shes such a huge part of my power behind the throne deck any reason why you didnt add another?

This is great advice. (Art of Seduction + Outwit) in particular is a pretty evil combo that I don't think many have played around with yet.

Turn 3 you flip art of seduction. If you catch Valar, that is nice, but if not, it's still nice.

If you don't catch valar, turn 5 you flip outwit. So in most cases you either cancel their valar they were waiting to play, or you get 4 reset free turns, which with cersei or some renown out is probably a sure win.

RE: Just one Cersei, she is probably the best card in the deck. I think I wanted to try out as many cards as I could to see what felt right. I felt like Tywin might be worth doubling as well.

If I let a Valar go off then there is no Creylen and no way to trigger outwit.

ok i dropped tywin and added more cercei and a littlefinger
