What would you want to see in the Wood Elf boxed set? (besides an actual wood elf)

..

Bretonnia would go well with them, just like 2nd edition IMO.

Or maybe Old Religion stuff, considering most of that is located in the deep forests of the Empire.

Careers from 1° rank to 5° rank.

Magic of Wood Elves.

Hi,

Definately a bit of wood elven magic, lots of flavourful basic careers, and quite alot of setting info (known settlements within the Empire, cultural practices and social structure, current affairs re their relationship with the Empire).

Some action cards based around Nature lore rather than just shooty stuff might be fun too.

Oh yeah and some grim/tragic artwork showcasing a proud and powerful race, suffering from a slow doom, but going out kicking and screaming. happy.gif

I'd really like to see a good map of the athel loren and the Laurelorn (Empire settlements).

I d like to see some good elven recipes.

I mean recipes with elf's meat.

GU ELFEATER

Background and careers for Wood Elves, High Elves, Sea Elves (are they still around?) and Dark Elves.

Ithilmar based items.

Rules for High Magic and advanced rules for Dark Magic.

Spells for High Magic and more spells for Dark Magic (the ones we have now make me cry).

Yepesnopes:

All that in a Wood Elf boxed set? You might be disappointed then if ever there is one :)

I'd say:

- Specific careers

- Tips towards roleplaying a Wood Elf

- Fluff as to how they link in with the world + short history

- specific WE items

- additional rules about tracking/stalking/stealth

- Guerilla tactics and action cards

- Forest-creatures/spirits/elementals (stats/cards)

- Insanities that tie in with the men in the trees (both the ones they are susceptible to, as well as those they are likely to cause to trespassers)

An adventure involving wood elf vs. dwarven politics, forcing the players to side with and against one of the "good" races, instead of fighting relatively pure evil.

This WOULD be interesting!! :D - Warhammer is a big world ... not all conflicts can be with chaos etc

There is huge amounts of stuff that could be there about Elves. This is good list to start with. There hasn't been sourcebook about them in the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, so this could be good oppurtunity to really dig everything about them. There is definitely enought stuff about the Elves that all three races serve different products.

Additions to list above:

  • Orion, consort-king of Athel Loren
  • Religion (& Gods)
  • Their realms (well, especially Athel Loren, but others also)
  • Additional rules about their abilities to bond with animals & monsters (like their horses, warhawks...etc. Even Forest Dragons)
  • Additional rules about Kindreds
  • Fey Magic

By the way - There is fan-product coming about the Wood Elves from Liber Fanatica. It is possible that this will have one day also WFRP3 ruleset (and cards) if someone is interested to build them... Currently playtesting is done with WFRP2 rules (if you are familiar with Strike to Stun Forum you can find some info there).

I think just having something as focused as a Wood Elf box supplement would be noteworthy regardless of its contents. We haven't even gotten an Elf supplement period in the previous editions (not that Mr. Nunez's work is not appreciated). Given the "player/group options versus threats" duality we've seen in the supplements thus far I doubt we'd ever get the chance to peruse a wood elf only box. Not trying to crap all over the picnic if that's how I'm coming off, but maybe print on demand? It'd be awesome to get some love for the woodies (or even the barest mention of the fact that the Empire has a Wood Elf realm..IN it). A High & Wood Elf vs Dark Elf supplement would be an awesome compromise though.

Here's hoping 2012 has some Elf love loaded somewhere from Q2 to Q4.

I would love to see such a suplement. It could be made just like Black Fire Pass.

It would cover Athel Loren, describe Wood Elves satelments, WE culture maybe even the impact they have on Bretonnia (Lady Of The Lake is acording to some a Wood Elf Queen). Of cource many new careers for WE (specialy a next level of Waywatcher and War Dancer) and WE magic with spells and careers.

For GMs there should be an adventure.

The supplement could be just as BFP with two books, a lot of good Action cards, new Talents and new creatures that live in the woods of the Old World.

1-3) To me it seems too many things in only one box.

2) You has ruined my picnic.

4) All we need is elven love
All we need is elven love (all together now)
All we need is elven love (everybody)
All we need is elven love, love, elven love is all we need.

Be nice to see rules around travel, hunting, getting through wooded areas rules...

...and wood elf careers and magic and religion...
