Is there any chance that future campaign expansions will ever decide to take place somewhere not in the snow like maybe a forest or desert I no the one of the Russian articles said something about the russians also were getting bogged down in the swamps of florida I would love non snow boards and maybe some new rules for different terrains
campaign locations
I would think Iceland will be a big expansion as it is one country with all three factions each controlling a third of the Island. Though that may also have snow.
The swamps of Florida, the jungles in South America, Africa or New Guinea and the islands north of Australia (and Australia itself) could share some terrain types. Mountain terrain would be fun for the Caucasus and Turkey. Useful for actions in the China area, Scandinavia and Italy too.
BTW, I think exploring the neutrals can be fun, with Sweden apparently overrun and incorporated to the Axis (willfully or not), it looks strange than the rest could keep themselves out of the conflict. Turkey could be the key for enclosing the Caucasus area for the Axis, putting Iraq and Palestine as Axis targets and threatening to pincer Egypt and close Suez and the Iberian peninsula could lead to the closing of the strait by conquering Gibraltar. Both theaters could close the Mediterranean to the British by sea, ensuring the Axis foothold on North Africa and both access to oil (always vital in spite of VK) and permitting an easier reconquering of Italy.
Also, with the SSU and the Allies firmly established in South America, it seems logical that Argentina (which was rather conservative and german-sided anyways) would take the Axis side and look for its advantage (there had been a long tradition for border warfare before).
All in all, mountain terrain would get much use. And the fighting in those areas would call for lots of close range operations, be them in jungles or broken/mounain terrain.
Why is England (Sealowe/Cerberus) snowed in?
Well, it does snow in England you know
And the country does come to a grinding halt at the slightest hint of the white stuff.
