can you play 2 cards with thesame name but diffrent version at the same time?

The * sign on a card means it is unique yea, and that each player can only have 1 copy on the table each.... but.. what about cards with the same nameand a diffrent "title" i guess you call it... eg...

The italicized type beneath the title is the 'descriptor' and is not taken into account when checking a card 'title' for uniqueness.

what about for the 3 card maximum in deck? Can you have 6 shubs if 3 are mother and the other 3 are the other?

No. The limit to 3 per deck goes with the main title only. So a max of 3 Shubs, no matter what flavor combination.
