Guerilla Tactic

By Khorgar, in Deathwatch

Hi there,

I have a question concerning the Guerilla Tactics Talent of the Raven Guards.
It states that you don“t get the penalty for wearing Power Armour on Concealment and Silent Move.
Does this mean the -30 penalty for armour with more than 7 AP on Concealment and Silent Move or the -10 penalty on Concealment due to size (hulking) or both?

Thanks

Khorgar

I would guess the former but I do not know. It does not say anything about a size modifier, only about power armour.

Well, the Power Armour makes the Space Marine hulking.
Therefor i am not sure if the marine still takes the size penalty or not.

Hmm.. that's a good question, ****.

Honestly, if I really had to make a choice, I'd say just the -30 from the power armour itself.

Though it'd be nice to have a more or less official comment on it (hint hint).

Sounds to me like its just the -30 due to ap over 7.

The penalty for size isn't specific to power armour. If, for whatever reason, your PC grew another foot and became hulking out of power armour you'd get the penalty. If you put on power armour you'd be even bigger for an even larger penalty.

Oh, all the time we missed the part with the penalty for Hulking because the description of the Astartes Power Armour under Giant Among Man reads:"He still suffers the usual penalties to Concealment and Silent Move for being heavily armoured." so we completly blocked out the additional -10 to Concealment for Hulking but we also missed this part for Chaos Marines. Now I'm really confused and I think this is something for an official rule clarification.

I would still apply the size penalty.

The Raven Guard know how to move in their armor above and beyond what is normal, that doesn't stop them from being really big boys.

Still a hefty stealth bonus to be had for using Astartes Scout Armour instead then.

...and that would seem to be appropriate...so, yeah, i'd agree with the 'hulking' penalty still applying - thanx for the head's up on this wee problem, gents! happy.gif

The Black Carapace implant negates the hulking penalty anyway.

Only wrt enemies shooting at the marine, not for other purposes such as size.

Only in regards to people trying to attack them in combat.

D'oh. "Only wrt enemies attacking the marine, not for other purposes such as stealth."
