I was wondering do the cards for curse of the dark pharaoh in mistatonic horror require the revised edition of dark pharaoh? Or can they be used with the original?

Miskatonic adds:

5 new Exhibit Items that can be used immediately (I think.)
9 Exhibit Encounters that are expansions to the new mechanic from the revised version
1 skill card that improves your interaction with Exhibit Encounters, so it can't be used except that it also gives you an Exhibit Item right off the bat, so you can technically use it.

About that skill card, since I do not have the revised CotDP I changed the effect from gaining +1 to checks involving Exhibit encounters to:

You may discard an Exhibit item instead of spending two clue tokens.

That's a fine idea. I would have gone with something like, whenever you gain an exhibit item you draw one extra and choose.

Yours is definitely more creative.
