50 Alien Powers I'd like to see in the next expansion of this game...

This is basically a topic about what powers you guys would like to see in future expansions of Cosmic Encounter.

I know there are a lot from Eon that I left out, but some are just very complicated and don't feel "natural" to the game. I like aliens that take one simple game concept and turn it on its head. EIther that, or something that creates funny scenarios, like Silencer. I haven't played Mayfair's version, so I can't volunteer any aliens from there, but I remember a couple sounding cool, particularly one I think was called Queue. I'd be happy if the ratio of original aliens to homebrews was reversed in the expansion, as well as maybe FFG making some of their own. I think I may be more looking forward to what new features will be added to the game.

I'd also love to see Zilch and Shark given official alien sheets, though that's of course very unnecessary, as well as any similar ideas FFG might have for extra players without extra ships. Have there ever been similar homebrew aliens? Perhaps I need to come up with something. Zilch is a huge favorite for me.

Then again, a box full of blank alien, tech, and encounter cards would be enough for me, so who cares? happy.gif

I think if we had access to a Strange Eons application, the blank cards and alien sheets would be no issue, and making your own Zilch and Shark would be a snap. I have cards for them in my home set, which is nice.

I'm hoping the new stuff keeps coming in each expansion. There are a lot of old aliens I look forward to seeing, but I can also attest to the decent number of new aliens that will fit nicely with the existing materials.

I do hope we get to see some Tech aliens one day, as I feel it would encourage the use of Tech more.

The aliens previously published I hope to see first:

- Sniveler
- Skeptic
- Cavalry
- Deuce
- Plant (as opposed to Insect... I think Plant is better and has fewer timing conflicts to worry about).
- Ghost (the Mayfair one, not the CEO one)
- Industrialist
- Phantom
- Seeker
- Symbiote

So, half of those are from Mayfair, and overall it's a nice mix of aliens that do different things.

Additionally, I too hope there will be another alternate win alien, and an alien that takes advantage of the individual planets.
