What should I buy to start playing Dust?

By Mcmanus, in Dust Tactics General Discussion

There are heroes that can only be bought on the coreset. Bazooka Joe is awesome, and Lara is great. I suggest you get both, and depending on your playstyle just add on to that.

Well as you can read, the firs one, orginal core set (coffin box) is out of stock. If you have a place to grab it go and get it! It's much better valued, you get much more stuff and the price difference is minimal! Also it has very nice map "pieces" instead od a shamelesse "poster". Also there are many threads on this forum regarding that case and what to buy next. so i suggest doing some search.

If you got the cash, buy 1 old coreset, and one or two revised, then 1 med walker of your choice, after that it all depends on your preferred faction and like I said before gameplay. The old coreset has basic units that you can definitely use, but the real deal is in the walkers, you get two for each faction, buying a med walker expansion gives you other attachments which you can attach to your other walkers to give yourself a variety you can then field 3 walkers with different attachments. The revised has great axis units you can use, but the allied are a bit meh, but still usable.

And getting a friend to purchase 50% of the faction you don't want can really save you cash.

Let us know what faction you want to try, and we can help you out from there, but the coresets are a steal, definitely.

So what do you do with the remaining 50% of the faction you don't want? gran_risa.gif

Thank you for the answers I'll try to grab that big box.^^

Lol, like I said, get a friend to purchase it. But if you like both factions then be greedy and keep them all for yourself, like what I did... :) :) :)

I bought everything equally for both factions. That way I have everything needed for 2 people to play. For me it's easier than convincing a friend to get ino it, and u can have two greatly painted armies. Hate playing painted armies against primered ones. Kills the game feel.
