Hmm... Is this a good time to wonder why there are different points for the EU and US winners (3 vs. 5)? ;)

Oh dang. I thought I fixed that. Hmmm I'll have to go back and see if I can change that. Thanks for pointing it out! Also I had to fix the pairings, here are the new pairings for round 2.

Hey, Egg Scooter: I've tried to contact you a few times by email in regards to our match, with no response. So if you read these forums, hit me up @ [email protected].

To everyone else: If you know him could you ring his bell, so we might set up our match?

ditto above with Fat Mouse. Sent you a few emails without reply. Hit me on skype (dennis.harrison.jr) any weeknight 9pm or later (EST // GMT -5). Otherwise I will happily accept the forfeit W :)

Egg Scooter reporting for duty!

Sorry about that. I can't email you until tonight so I'll just let everyone else listen in. I should be ready to play our match Thursday or Friday evening anytime after 8pm PST. Email me if we need to work something out.

In the second post with correct pairings, it says you are matched up with Richard Ng. It's not my business if you are really matched up with Fat Mouse but perhaps that is not correct.

Yeah, I was paired with SirDuck this week in the fixed pairings. Still odd that I didn't get anything from you if you sent me messages...

I have no idea why I do this... I do it all the time. I find something new that I really like, I get really into it. In this case, it's AGoT: TCG. I buy the core set, I buy the cards, I find chapter packs on Amazon, I visit the forums all the time, I play with deckbuilding, I read the FAQs. And then... I am absolutely balls-out terrible at it..

Depressing.

Hey, don't give up. This is a HARD game to get into, especially when there are so many types of decks. You can't be prepared for everything, and many of us have been playing since 02-03. It's very common to think you're doing great, and then something random like Greyjoy choke destroys you and sends you back to the drawing board.

Maybe post your favorite deck in deck construction? We might be able to help you tweak it for next time, and maybe give you some insight into running it that you hadn't thought of.

Yeah I'll second Rave's statements. I mean I STILL feel like this sometimes and I'm one of those people who've been playing since 02! lol Shoot me an email [email protected] and I can help you with your deck/tips.

I don't think that I can give you any tips to help you get better, however, if you were looking to get worse, THAT I can help you with. Let me tell you the story of a little card called the Ten Towers.....auto include in every deck.

Yeah don't give up!

What you should learn is that everytime you lose with a deck, you should be able to recognize something about it that you need to tweak. No one knows for sure how effective a deck is until they play test it a bunch. The time to scrap a deck is when you lose with it a lot more than not, even after you have been tweaking it. At that point you can try a new deck idea. At some point you'll find a deck that you think works very well and become a pro at using it.
