Greatest fears in dust

This is a post about hypothetical situations that you would never want to happen in dust.

I am afraid that this game would become power unit oriented, where you can win games via the value of your army in cash.

I am afraid that this mini's game will become overly expensive, like some certain mini's games I would not mention, that were once very affordable, but became expensive once they became mainstream.

I am afraid that FFG might just give up on dust, and forget the game and it's fans. You see I want to play vrill, but for now Axis and allied game will have to do.

Doesn't seem to be happening so far.

The great thing about Dust is that it really is only what you decide to make of it. Unless, of course, you play in tournaments, but that's a VERY small percentage of Dust players.

Are you bothered about power creep? Don't play with units you perceive as overpowered. Concerned about costs? Don't buy ALL the units and avoid the more expensive ones. You don't need every single unit released to enjoy the game. Afraid the line will be discontinued? Bummer, sure, but what would stop you from enjoying this game for decades more with all the units released so far?

well since every squad pretty much costs the same price(I know the raised the new units up a bit but its more of an all round price increase then a lets make make money off the better units increase). I don't see it becoming much of a problem as an army made up of High points units would be cheaper then one made up of Lower cost units. now there are certain advantages that having more units on the field then you opponent do confer but with the introduction of armor 3 units these low cost units (Observers) become a lot less effective when it comes to actual combat and this advantage can be lost rather quickly. While the units that will come out in the future will be more powerful(otherwise why buy new units?) I don't see anything happening to break the game unless air units are horribly broken.

that being said the only unit I have any problem with is OZZ 117 as he can become invulnerable for the round. And though it dose end up annoying me to no end most of the time it has never really been game breaking(except in 1 or 2 scenarios) and the extra ranged damage that Lara put out with a Hvy. Recon squad probably more then counters this with the extra damage output...
