Gold on characters : does this get paid back during taxation ?

By Daenarys, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Does gold on characters get paid back during the taxation phase or can this be accumulated ?

Thanks

This can be accumulated. Taxation phase only takes the gold from your gold pool and puts it back into the treasury.

A lot of your posts are doubled and tripled. Are you reposting them often when you aren't sure that they posted the first time?

Are you talking to Dany or to Staton? gui%C3%B1o.gif

As for the question: You shouldn't think of Gold on characters as Gold at all. You should think of it as generic markers that you're using to denote something because they're readily availabe.

Lol. No actually - I was talking to Daeny, but you're right , I didn't notice that Staton also had a double post. This forum is weird.

Is that a good general rule-of-thumb? It's true for a lot of cards, but the first character most players are going to encounter that gets gold on it is the Core Set Tywin, for whom it is definitely gold.

I think it's a good rule-of-thumb. Tywin does explicitly say what you can do with the gold markers that are on him, so there shouldn't be any confusion.
