Greater Deamons

By Yepesnopes, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Hello

Is out there any description regarding Great Daemons? They have been changing a bit since 1st ed. How are they suposed to be in the 3rd ed? Are they big towering monsters? Are they rather shorter like a Troll or a Black Ork? Could for example a Keeper of Secrets demolish with a blow the wall of a house?

Cheers

Each of the chaos books/supplements that have been released cover the basic descriptions of all the deamons, lesser and great.

Deamons have for the most part remains unchanged since 2nd edition. The greater deamons are still quite large (Giantish scale), they tend to be terrifying, have casting abilities (except Bloodthirster) eat people and cause bad days.

Their rules and descriptions can be found in:

  • Omens of War
  • Signs of Faith
  • Lure of Power
  • Winds of Magic

The only one that may have seen a few changes is the Slaaneshi greater daemon. With GW leaning away from the overtly sexual concepts of Slaanesh the deamon has seen some adjustments along with the deamonettes and seekers. But these differences are mostly visual and focus around less nudity.

Thanks Gitz!

I suspected it. I will have to house rule a few things then. The Keeper of Secrets having a St of 6 makes a poor gigantic creature.

We had a bloodletter demolish a house in an attack. It also killed a t4 14wound 6 soak player character in two attacks and a t3 soak 2 12 wound character in 1 attack so I reckon they are still powerful huge monsters

Bloodthirster rather....it would be an impressive bloodletter indeed to do that

I envision the "standard" greater daemon to be close to the size of house, but as with anything from the realms of chaos there is not standrd size and shape. Make it as big and scary as you like and fiddle the stats accordingly
