Yeah that's the thing though, what real nuetral location hate is there? Condemned by the Realm? Can't really use that in every deck. Pyromancer's Apprentice? Meh. Favorable Ground I guess?

Support of the Kingdom, Price of War, Condemned by the Council. The Bandits are a little more useful since there will be more multi-house targets.

Price of War is good, so is Condemned by the Realm. You should be able to use one or the other in almost any deck. Support of the Kingdom doesn't really work against GG unless you are also playing Burned and Pillaged. The Bandits are all right, but not the best location hate.

Support you can use to start pinching the new Kingdom locations. Their GG advantage is lessened since you've helped alleviate the cheep as dirt noble problem. It may even benefit you depending on your deck. Furthermore, you can't use dupes to save the location from take control effects.

You can also use Increased Levy as well Burned and Pillaged. Some day, I hope that there's an Influence generator (or even nullifier) that you can attach to locations.

It does depend what kind of OOH stuff gets introduced. If locations become a problem, people may start importing more Greyjoys.

The question I have is what the traits offered on the other multihouse Free Cities reducers will be? Will they all be Lord or Lady? If so, then Lord seems like it would be reasonable for Greyjoy's reducer (GJ has three Ladies among Asha and Alannys, while there're 15 in-House Lords), in which case we'd get to play Newly Made Lord OOH with no penalty.

I don't think so. Braavos has a strong connection to ladies in the books, so it reduces ladies in the game. I'm not sure about Norvos (isn't that where Areoh Hotah is from?). I imagine a location that reduces mercenaries, maybe one that reduces asshai, and I'm sure there will be other traits.

That's true, but Lords and Ladies are traits every House uses, so if the goal here is to improve flexibility when using OOH cards, it might make sense to keep with those two. How useful would the Baratheon reducer be if Asshai was the given trait? It would help reduce DotN Mel, who gets played OOH pretty frequently, but that's probably about it.

An Asshai reducer can go either Bara or Targ. If its Bara, you can use it to bring in more Holy Crests and some Shadow manipulation to a deck. If its Targ, you can use Shadow Seers and Red Warlocks.

I am too lazy to do an actual count for each, but this definitely helps with Stark and Baratheon payment considering they have a ton of Ladies in their houses. The other houses have very few. Makes me wonder how those breed nobility and lords!

I'm assuming that the Bara reducer would be for Knights. Targ could be Mercs or army maybe? Lannister gets Ally (pretty huge imo) and GJ could get.......I have no clue. I could also seem something in there for crest based reduction.

Why do you connect the reducers to specific houeses? As far as I understand it, they are "all-house" reducers that represent the Free cities. I don't think we can expect all of them in this fashion, though.

The cards we are speaking of have 2 reducers as the trend it seems. An OOH affiliation and some kind of a trait. So we connect the reducer to the affiliation that is OOH. :-)

And the trend also appears to favor a trait that the OOH affiliation has a lot of. At least so far!

Really like the lack of Neutrals

can't wait to see what kind of love greyjoy gets for its agenda

Spoilers

I'm hoping for a Duck / Rolly Duckfield card with the "Kingsguard" trait

Second this. Probably wishful thinking, but a Lewyn Martell kingsguard card would be awesome. Wonder if Barristan's reminiscing about him in book 5 would be enough to include, maybe with a dual Targ/Martell loyalty since there will be no neutrals?

@ bomb: Oh. Right. Somehow I read past that.

So the reducer is for cards of the house, but not for the house, but rather for all other houses.

Pretty much. If you were running a whole lot of the given Trait, it might be worth it to run it out of the reduced House -- there's Stark Shadow deck that uses pretty much nothing but Ladies that I've been meaning to build for a while -- but generally it will probably make more sense in other Houses.

Well, it won't work quite as well in a shadow deck since it won't reduce a shadow. Still Stark has 6 distinct Ladies that can be reduced, all of which are solid cards. Not too shabby. I also wouldn't be too surprised to see more Mormont girls along with Alys Karstark in the future.

@ p-psychotic: That one Manderly daughter is definitely card-material as well!
