This deck had to be made, for one, because it’s Terry, and second, to compare the power of Neo Raging Storm to Fire Kick or Feline Spike—other preferred methods of finishing off opponents. You might also notice the inclusion of Homing Water Dragon.
I was the only one to ever pilot a deck like this in testing, and thus I only have my own opinions and experience to speak from, but I would never play a deck like this in a tournament. There are far too many low control checks for my taste, and I hate drawing more than one Neo Raging Storm per game. If I were to begin to improve the deck, I would likely drop Raging Storm to a single copy and replace the rest with Fire Kick, dropping Water Dragon entirely.
The deck, however, was not without its highlights. Multiple 2 Raging Storms are fun, almost Suzako-like in terms of game-ending power and numerical efficiency, but let’s face it, those are sub-optimal plays for this environment. The foundation base is solid and Valeria’s Shop allows Terry to behave like a true 8 handsize character, I wouldn’t play the deck without it. I had considered Unorthodox Training, as it worked well with our Promo Alex, but with Terry it was rather lackluster. The same goes for Pidgeon Games.
In summary, cute and fun, but inconsistent, and well, fair to play against.
…but that’s not what we’re aiming for
