36 Foundations

This is the first of a series of decks Team Southtown put together to train against for the GCC. We wanted to know how we would stack up against Talbain in general, and this was our benchmark.

The obvious bad matchups are Order tapout/lockdown, and anything that messes with the staging area beyond your average Olcadan’s plays. The good matchups, in general is everything else.

We really wanted to push the deck over the top with Defender and Feline Spike, just to see what the power of money was capable of. Looping Feline Spike a couple of times doesn’t feel very good, and of course Rejection infinites on defense is overwhelming to anything that can’t deal with Defender, because even Kung-Fu Training won’t save you there.

This deck helped us realize the power of Seal of Cessation in this GCC meta, as timely activations can mean the difference between a narrow victory or a crushing defeat.
