Now that we're approved...

By Gummy Bear, in UFS Fan Announcements

Now that my store is an approved UFS venue, I'll finally be able to start running tournaments and events every friday now.

Store Name: Swords and Superheroes

Date and Time: February 13th, 2009, starting at 6:00 p.m.

Location: Spring, Texas, 77373. The address is, 400 Main Street in Old Town Spring.

Event: Standard (Block Three), Swiss rounds, tournament. Entry fee is four dollars or one booster of any choice.

My info and Store info: You can reach me at acoleufs@gmail.com , or you can call the store at (936) 650-7900. I'd prefer that you contact me first, as I know more about the area, events, rules, and UFS in general, than the store owner does. I check me email every day, so expect quick responses.

I will be running a block three tournament this friday, as well, but I'm not sure if our prize support will be in by then.

Awesome! Congrats, man. Like I said, I'm speaking with my group and hopefully we can swing down there sometime in March. I'll make sure to let you know what's up.

Good deal. I think the presence of out-of-city playgroups in my area will spark new interests in people. Hopefully, I can get a few others addicted to the game as well, once they see some of us playing the game in a professional manner. :P

I didn't mean we had to go all out hardcore geek squad attitude when we're playing, I just meant we should play as if we were in a tournament. Take that however you want to, as I'm sure everything will turn out alright.

*psst, don't listen to him; he's not professional at all. he stole my milk money and made me cry*

Ahem! SO, YEAH! xD

What's your shop like? Is it a regular game store, or do they sell, like, comics and everything else (like ours does)? Do they stock UFS (UNLIKE ours)? What about your playgroup - what are they like?

Well, I can spot you milk money, if that would make you happy. ;P

My shops is your normal, average sized game store. We sell comics, as well as most, if not all of, Game's Workshop, Fantasy Flight Games, Privateer Press, and several other minor companie's games. We also have several computers and xbox 360s :D . And yes, our owner is very good about restocking UFS, especially block three stuff. All we have to do is ask, then about five days later, we have our asked UFS stuff in. My playgroup consist of me and several of my best friends. Right now, we only have around six people, but I'm in the process of trying to recruit people whenever I can.

But yeah, I tend to have a dry sense of humor sometimes, so it's for the best if you take a lot of things I say as sarcasm (**** internet not potraying sarcasm well *shakes fist*)
