I got Khazad-Dum tonight and try the first quests against my Glorifindel, Frodo, Bilbo deck which is show very good results in Shadow of mirkwood cycle.....

What can i say? I play 4 games. Win only 1. 3 games i lose.......... Cool! Very hard quest and very interesting as well!

Khasad-Dum is something really good!

Wait until you play it co-op. My buddy and I went 3-0 playing all three new quests in a row. So I'll beat you to the punch and say Khazad-dum is easy.

We both even created entirely new decks for ourselves (I used Beravor, Dunhere, Eowyn, and my friend used Thalin, Brand son of Bain, Legolas) just to see how we'd do against Flight from Moria. Still won.

It was fun (especially Flight from Moria), but still felt easy.

So is mean scaling is still bad.......

But you use Beravur???? I never use hi in my game for the last 4 months. She is to powerful and sounds like cheeting.

Same Trackers and Gilmy. In solo is ok but for co-op this is broken im my opinion.

Fligh form Moria i also win form the first attempt. But maybe just a luck........

Yeah, well we like playing to win. But you're right Beravor/Northern Trackers/Unexpected Courage pretty much break the game. Although we didn't entirely rely on them.

Flight from Moria can be unusually easy if you manage to get the Escape from Darkness quest card and find Abandoned Tools early. So yes, can be very luck dependent.

I try for now all 3 quests and actually they are cool. Why??? For me i play mostly solo. And look like for the solo game those quests fit perfect. They are quite hard to play and long as well. So when you play alone you really have a lot of hard decisions all the time and situaltion can change on the table quite easy. Encounter cards quite powerful so there is not time to catch flies.

My last game against 7 chamber was really crazy. I alredy think i won this one 1 more quiest phase and finish but then come Cave troll and get shadow effect Chiftain of the pit so he attack twice!!!! Lucky my Frodo once can take 6 threat instead damage but bilbo was dead by second attack. OK i win in the end but only with one hero left and thanks to Gandalf, he come to help for last questing. That was really cool!!!!Game hold you all the time in danger and dont give you relax as it was before many times in previous cycle.

But co-op games is more easy yes??? So i think just need to exclude some powerful cards for 2 or more players game and also i like to try my new house rules for co-op game: each sphere can be use only once among all players. + Restrickted list of some cards (only for co-op game).

The card what i never use even in solo game cose i think is to broken: Tracker, Beravur, Will of the west, Gimly.

But for now i like the way where game growing. Cheers.

I keep getting creamed on this. I play solo, but with two decks, and either I have to commit too many people to quest and then can't handle the goblins, or don't quest and get many threats and don't progress in the scenario. Even my allies don't help enough (often too little too late). I can't believe they rated this a 5. This is by far the most difficult quest of all the one's they produced so far IMHO. Seriously, unless I get super lucky with cards, I just don't see this quest being beaten.

Any secrets out there?
