Things that are missing!

By Beren Eoath, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Ok, so here's a list that I made of all those thing that in my opinion are missing in WFRP 3e.

I based my list on all of that that I found on the net about previous editions of the game and compared it to this one.

So here we go:

- INFORMATION ABOUT EMPIRE (the core set has nothing of realy importent knowledge, provinces, great cities, history and so on. There's just abit of this. maybe Hero's Call will cover this part but who knows)

- KISLEV (people, geography, careers, special abilities for characters from Kislev, special creatures that can be found only there)

- BRETONNIA (the same as in Kislev, special abilities, careers, creatures, geography)

- BORDER PRINCES (same as above)

- KHMERI ADVENTURE (with geography, creatures and so on)

- a CAMPAIN TRILOGY (somethig bigger that all what we had so far so characters can start is as a 1st Rank hero and end having 3rd Rank.)

- a DUNGEON SUPPLEMENT (something that would have a lot of traps ideas, hazards ideas and so on + an adventure so the GM can use this knowledge)

- an ARMOURY SUPPLEMENT (we are still having trouble to get a good list of goods that You can buy with prices and stats)

- ENEMY SUPPLEMENT like Children of the Horned Rat was (about specific kind of enemies. We have 4 Chaos Gods so now there's time for others)

This is my wish list that I would like FFG to fill with the future products.

I find missing a discount to buy all the things they release.

There is a very good item list written by renown forum lurker emrikol in Liber fanatica 8. I use it quite frequently and fully recommend it. The others I am not overly fussed on since previous editions have mostly fleshed these out quite well but don't get me wrong, I'd like them if I see them.

- INFORMATION ABOUT EMPIRE (the core set has nothing of realy importent knowledge, provinces, great cities, history and so on. There's just abit of this. maybe Hero's Call will cover this part but who knows)

Can be found in many Warhammer Fantasy products, including resources from 1st Edition, 2nd Edition, and the Warhammer Fantasy Battle miniatures games.

- KISLEV (people, geography, careers, special abilities for characters from Kislev, special creatures that can be found only there)

See above

- BRETONNIA (the same as in Kislev, special abilities, careers, creatures, geography)

See above

- BORDER PRINCES (same as above)

See above

- KHMERI ADVENTURE (with geography, creatures and so on)

See above. Khmer isn't very close to the Empire. In fact, even in 2nd Ed it took a long time to get any information/adventure on Khmer. I wouldn't wasy it is "missing", but more of a "nice to have".

- a CAMPAIN TRILOGY (somethig bigger that all what we had so far so characters can start is as a 1st Rank hero and end having 3rd Rank.)

It's called "The Gathering Storm". I expect/wouldn't be surprised also if FFG probably has some sort of plan for another campaign, as we're due for another one..

- a DUNGEON SUPPLEMENT (something that would have a lot of traps ideas, hazards ideas and so on + an adventure so the GM can use this knowledge)

WFRP isn't known as a dungeon-crawl kind of RPG.

- an ARMOURY SUPPLEMENT (we are still having trouble to get a good list of goods that You can buy with prices and stats)

Agreed. A more comprehensive official equipment book would be nice.

- ENEMY SUPPLEMENT like Children of the Horned Rat was (about specific kind of enemies. We have 4 Chaos Gods so now there's time for others)

Each supplement so far has added additional new enemies, plus we had the Creature Guide+Vault which included new monsters.

So, sure, I agree WFRP3 produced supplements for each of these will be nice to have eventually.

And an elf expansion. I think this is more important than things like Border Princes.

Yes an elf expansion is indeed needed along with Half-lings added into the game.

If you are saying you want to see these things come eventually, fine and agreed. Although I have lots of earlier edition stuff to use for fluff in meantime.

If you mean bah on WFRP3 because it does not yet have these, well it is still coming and you have to give them time. Also, though it does not change customer experience, one suspects GDW is really behind any enduring gaps due to licensing matters..
