Executive Order and Launching/Breaking out of Brig

By Anacreon, in Battlestar Galactica

We had a player question the legitimacy of some things, so I promised to ask the bulletin board about it. Here's the situation:

Player X gives Player Y an executive order card. Player Y is in the Hanger Deck and chooses to take the Action of launching himself in a viper and then moves out into the space at bottom left. According to the Hanger Deck instructions, the person now gets another action. Player Y uses this action to move to the front of Galactica, where there is a basestar and three raiders. Now, Player Y is still acting under the EO, so he takes his second Action (which is now actually his third) and plays Maximum Frepower to attack the cylon ships. Is this legit to take this many moves/actions?

Later, Player Y was in the brig and got an Executive Order from Player X. Player Y took the brig Action and passed, allowing him to move out. He went to Admiral's Quarter's and used Action two to activate the AQ and place Player Z is the brig. Is this legit?

Thanks.

Anacreon,

As you suspected, both of these actions are fine and legal. If a new player is struggling to accept a turn in which players parley one action step into three or four actions, then that's a helpful wake-up call to them about what's possible during an action step and about the importance of maximizing their team's actions through XOs and other abilities.

Thanks, that's what I thought!
