Just busying myself until my delivery of the Core set ( not revised ) turns up, and I was looking for bits of scenery I can use. I found this toy from the latest Indy 4 movie that suits my needs, might suit yours too. Its the Jungle Cutter. You can tell by the cabin its the wrong scale, so that would have be removed or remodelled. Its quite tall too, but my plan is have it as a more traditional utility vehicle.

Here it is without the cabin. I think you could use it as a huge jungle cutter at rest.

And without the blades. I think while there is alien tech being used the fighting vehicles, not all the support vehicles would be legged mechs.

Still gotta rip that seat out though....
